Monthly Archives: February 2016
We are due to hold our next drop-in coffee morning on Wednesday 2nd March. We look forward to welcoming returning and new parents to join others for free tea/coffee made and served by our Sixth Form students. There will also be tasty treats on sale to tempt you both savoury and sweet.
The coffee mornings are held the Rosie Centre (which is accessed by the Littlehampton Road entrance of the school) between 10.30 and 11.30.
It can sometimes be difficult if you have a child or children with SEN so it can be good to meet a supportive group of people, share ideas or worries over a coffee or tea.
This month we will be joined by Charlotte Smith from the Local Offer who can talk about how to access information on the different support out there.
A public consultation on the future of the 3in1 Card concessionary travel scheme has now launched!
The County Council has proposed three options:
- The 3in1 Card scheme continues in its current format
- The 3in1 Card ceases to operate
- The 3in1 Card ceases to operate but funding for 16-19 year-olds from low income families (in full time further education) would be made available
The consultation questionnaire asks participants to rank their preferred option, and give their views on the scheme. Participants are also asked for their views on the dates for any changes to be introduced.
The consultation will help us to understand the views and priorities people have about the 3in1 Card scheme and will help to inform our decisions in the future. Therefore, we would appreciate your help in promoting the consultation wherever appropriate.
The consultation can be accessed here:
The closing date for the consultation is Friday, 8 April 2016.
