Research – Autistic Women and Girls

The Tizard Centre, University of Kent are designing a screening tool for autism.  This research and the screening tool focuses on earlier identification of autism in women and girls.

Researchers at the Tizard Centre have developed a screening tool called the FASST (Female Autistic Spectrum Screening Tool) and would like autistic people, carers and professionals to help them identify whether the screening tool is asking the right questions to help identify if a woman or girl might be autistic.  The hope is that the use of this tool could could support earlier identification of autism.
