Special Olympics – World Games

Caleb Grace an ex student has been training hard over the last few years as a swimmer and was selected to represent GB Special Olympics in the World Games in Abu Dhabi. He flew out on Monday 11th March as part of the GB team and is preparing for his first competition on Saturday 16th March. Caleb started Oak Grove College in 2009 and was identified has having potential as a swimmer, with some encouragement he gained his confidence and joined a competitive disability squad, “Squids” at Littlehampton. From this point he has not looked back and went on to join Littlehampton swimming club and has competed for them at county level. More recently he has been swimming in all the National para swimming galas across the UK and is looking forward to making qualification times so he can represent GB in para swimming.

We send Caleb and all the GB Special Olympics Team our best wishes for success at the World Games
