Minecraft Group projects
Some students in Year 10 have been looking into what makes an airport run smoothly and jobs that make up the day to day running of an airport.
It has been wonderful to see students working hard together and some taking Leadership/Project management roles.
I’d like to say Well done to Class 10X1/it.
Take a look at some of these E-Zines created by our students
Digital leaders is a project which is being run as an extension to Core IT. Students selected as digital leaders can help to embed the use of technology across the school. This is accomplished by attending regular meetings, supporting other pupils in class, assisting members of staff to run themed event days and other whole-school events as well as lead on improvements in e-safety provision.
Digital leaders have also been involved in the creation of a Blog, the Blog is written under the supervision of Teaching staff at Oak Grove College and covers areas of technology news, software reviews, and coding projects. This enables the teaching of new skills and by doing this students can learn how to create content to be published online and how to leave a positive digital footprint.
The Digital Leaders project also presents an opportunity to work co-operatively with other schools in a partnership, sharing ideas and collaborating on projects. The skills and use of technology are transferable into the workplace or to pursue in Further Education College courses.
