Dear Parents/ Carers,

Thank you for all of your support over what has been and is going to continue to be difficult times.

I am sure you will have listened to the Prime Minister this evening. We have just had a Senior Leadership Team meeting to take on board what has been said. As usual at this time we do not have any written guidance about the expectations for special schools. We are not mentioned in the guidance that government have just released.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, we will be open for the children of key workers that have already been agreed and offered places. We can make provision for those students in year 11 who key worker children but please confirm that to before 8am on Tuesday.

Year 11 students who were going to be in but whose families are not key workers should NOT come in.

On Tuesday we will be planning in college which students we will be able to accommodate who are most vulnerable and no doubt we will know what our detailed expectations are at this point. We will also ensure that we start to release relevant information to support home and remote learning. Some of this will be packs that will need to be delivered.

In relation to Free School Meals we know that parcels of food will be prepared and we will organise for these to be collected and/ or delivered.

Over the next couple of days staff will also be in contact directly with you to talk to you all and to see if there is anything that we can do to support you, within the new rules.

I know that this will be a difficult time and we will need to work together, as a community to ensure that all can continue to thrive and succeed.

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation and please be assured that the health, safety and wellbeing of

All the community is at the forefront of the decision we are making.

Yours sincerely
