College Business Manager

Oak Grove College is of the Thrive Federation of Schools with Palatine Primary School, Herons Dale School and Cornfield School.

Grade 11-12 (depending on qualifications and experience)

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Required as soon as possible

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, Oak Grove College requires an experienced and talented College Business Manager as soon as possible.  The Business Manager is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and has full responsibility for the business function of the college including – but not limited to – Finance, HR, IT, Premises/Facilities Management and Health and Safety.

The successful candidate will be creative, organised and hardworking; a committed member of the college team who will be willing to contribute to all aspects of college life.  Previous experience in a similar role in an education setting is highly desirable, although candidates with appropriate commercial experience are very welcome to apply.  A relevant qualification (eg Business based degree and/or the CSBM/DSBM) is essential.

The role is full time and can be either full year or term time only plus some additional weeks, depending on the requirements of the successful candidate.

Shortlisting will take place on 4th December 2020 with the selection day on 10th December 2020. Details of the selection day will depend on the number of candidates shortlisted and the relevant Covid 19 guidance in force at the time.
